WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) – St. Paul’s United Church of Christ celebrates 160th anniversary, Operation Christmas Child Project by Samaritan’s Purse International Relief.

The church prepared over one hundred and sixty shoeboxes filled with gifts, with many items such as toys, school supplies and personal care items. These gifted shoeboxes will be shipped around the world to bring joy to children and introduce the gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way.

“The original people who founded St. Paul’s 160 years ago, we’re talking about six or seven generations of the very people who really helped to play not just St. Paul’s, but the entire community of Wausau, and we’re so really proud of the legacy that we’ve left through the past, the difference that we’ve made here in Wausau.”, the Reverend, Dr. Philip C. Schneider said, “We are having a huge impact. we had food pantries, we have a diaper depot, we’ve done community meals in the past, that’s changed a bit with COVID-19, but we still hope to continue to serve the community and in any way we can to the future. “

You can make donations for the project before Monday, November 14. St. Paul’s United Christ Church is located at 426 Washington St, Wausau, WI 54403.
